About

The Culinary Arts program at Dauphin County Technical School prepares students for careers in the food service and hospitality industries through hands-on, industry-aligned instruction.

Students gain experience in both back-of-house and front-of-house operations, including food preparation, menu development, kitchen safety, customer service, and professional service standards.

DC Taste serves as the program’s live training restaurant, allowing students to apply classroom learning in a real dining environment while serving members of the community.

Senior Menu Experience

During their senior year, each Culinary Arts student designs and executes a complete service menu as part of their capstone experience.

These senior menus reflect the student’s creativity, technical skill, and understanding of professional kitchen operations. Each service date highlights a different student and menu concept, making every visit to DC Taste a unique experience.
